I am trying to change a vlookup formula so that it subracts 2 workdays from the date that it returns. I have the add in installed and am using excel 2003. I have looked through the posts and haven't found anything that will work. Thanks in advance for your help!!!

=VLOOKUP($A3,'Import List Here'!$A:$L,7,0)

This formula returns 5/30/2011

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.

Just a guess, but have you tried =(VLOOKUP($A3,'Import List Here'!$A:$L,7,0))-2 with the recipient cell formatted to date?

SHOOOOOOT! I left out the workday when i posted!

=WORKDAY((VLOOKUP($A3,'Import List Here'!$A:$L,7,0))-2)

I tried both of those formulas, and was close, but had not inserted the comma as Barry did. Now the problem is that I am returning the #name? error, which leads me to believe that the add in is not installed correctly. However, I do use NETWORKDAYS in another workbook. Also, when I look at the add ins, the correct boxes are checked???

The formula now works. After the computer was shut down for the weekend, I attempted the formula again, and it works. Thank you both for your help. The formula I am using is

=WORKDAY(VLOOKUP($A7,'Import List Here'!$A:$L,7,0),-2)
