Subtotal count by color

Looking for a formula that will counta the number of cells with a certain fill color, after my table has been filtered (like a subtotal formula).


Any thoughts?

There is no standard formula to do this, you can either create a UDF (User Defined Function) to use like a formula or just use code something like this:

Dim countred As Integer
Dim cell As Range
For Each cell In Range("a1:a20")
If cell.Interior.ColorIndex = 3 Then countred = countred + 1
Next cell
MsgBox countred
End Sub
