How do I subtract a range of numbers in Excell? Lets say I have numbers in A1 thru A50.

Excel Facts

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
Subtract from where?
In cell C1:
Code:
=B1-A1
Then drag the formula down to C50

Hmmm.... that didn't work? It just gave me #VALUE!

Lets try this....

A1 1000
B1 343
C1 121
D1 62
E1 12

F1 (formula to subtract the above)
