I want to add any value in a range that can match one of three possible codes.

at the moment i have
(COUNTIF(Range,"2FTC"))+(COUNTIF(Range,"2FTF")+(COUNTIF(Range,"2FTP")))

I am looking for a more efficient formula.

thanks!

Excel Facts

Shade all formula cells
To shade all formula cells: Home, Find & Select, Formulas to select all formulas. Then apply a light fill color.
Confirmed with ctrl+shift+enter:
=COUNT(IF(ISNUMBER(MATCH(Range,{"2FTC","2FTF","2FTP"},0)),1,0))

Hi Njimack, thanks for your quick reply. That formula is a bit beyond my level of understanding unfortunatley, but thanks for replying.
