Sum multiple columns based on lookup?

So, here's my first question on this board: I'm sure it has been asked a couple of times, but I couldn't really find it

I want to lookup a value (serial no) from (source) workbook, then sum multiple columns of that row (demand data by year) from this source.
Screenshot of the source: http://dropdo.com/1e4/screenshot_dmdplan
I have a feeling I'd have to work with INDIRECT, MATCH, INDEX formulas - but today this just doesn't work for me.

(Of course, an alternative solution would be to sum those columns in the source workbook, then vlookup that value => but my source already has over 100 columns, and this particular column wouldn't add value to the source)

Thanks a lot in advance.

PS: how do I attach a screenshot file here, in the forum?)

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.

That would certainly get you a lot more potential helpers since the data is right in front of everybody and, more importantly, it could be copied to a worksheet to test solutions.

My signature block below contains 3 methods for posting small screen shots. Test them in the Test Here forum. That way, if something goes wrong, you won’t be messing up a main forum.
