Sum rows and columns where the unknown value moves

Hi.
This is my first post on this forum. I am not an great at excel so please bear with me.

I am trying to build a 2x2 table that adds up the rows and columns but it needs to be able to do this where I know only 2 of the values and one of those may be the total. (rt = row total, ct = column total. rt1+rt2 must = ct1+ct2)

Where a+b = rt1 OR a= rt1-b OR b=rt1-a
Then do the same with the next two rows.
If I know a and b and d and rt2 then calculate ct1
On some occasions the check value is known as well as three of the other values so I need to compute the missing values

I think its an array but I cant figure it
I tried using some vba and got part way to resolution. the code I started is below (dont laugh) but while this works for 1 row I cant see how to make it work up, down left or right within the columns

Your code doesn't appear on the post. Please post it.

Also, if you only have 2 knowns, there are more than one correct scenarios for the other 7 unknowns. Are you saying that each row and/or column will have 2 of the 3 values known and one unknown? Please clarify.

Something is missing...
If I know a and b and d and rt2 then calculate ct1
ct1=a+(rt2-d) OR ct1=check-rt2
can you be more specific?
