Hello everyone,

I want to sum values in column "C" based on if they fall between and equal to two dates, dates in "A" and a varible in "B"

Column "A" a2-a32 dates of each day in Jan 09 31 days.
Column "B" b2-b32 letters either X Y Z randomly through range some cells may have a letter.
Column "C" Dollar value

in cell D1 Startdate in cell D2 Enddate
Formula located in D3 is the sum of all values falling between the date ranges and by one of the letters X. D4 Y. D5 Z.

Ive looked at sumif and sumproduct but have got really confused especially using inputs as criterias such as the dates any help would be apperciated.

Yes the iserror has resolved the calculation issue, many thanks i will be passing this formula onto other people, it rocks.

Hi,

My problem is very similar but less complex. I want to sum the values between two dates.

Column E contains the dates e.g 26/05... and Column R contains the values e.g. £28.00... I would like to calculate the totals for each week.

I have tried everything I know but fail to get the correct answer, can you help?

Thanks,

Alex

Welcome to the MrExcel board!

Your description is ambiguous to me. I wasn't sure if you just wanted to add the values between two dates (like in my range T1:U3), or calculate the totals for each week (like in my range T6:U12), or something else?

Formula in U7 is copied down.
