HI all:

Can i know why this equation is not working?
Code:
=SUMIF(A1:A31,( ">23")*("<6"),$B$1:$B$31)

I would like to sum column B if Column A is greater than 23 and less than 6.
The greatest number in Column A is 24 (It is 24 hours time).
I know the problem is with
Code:
( ">23")*("<6")
What i would like to know is what is wrong with it.

Thanks in advance for the help

Excel Facts

Create a Pivot Table on a Map
If your data has zip codes, postal codes, or city names, select the data and use Insert, 3D Map. (Found to right of chart icons).
sumif doesn't allow two criteria. Does this get what you need?
=SUMIF(A1:A31,">23",$B$1:$B$31)+SUMIF(A1:A31,"<6",$B$1:$B$31)

how about this:

SUMIF(A1:A5,AND(A1>23,A1<6),A1:A5)

of course change the columns to the appropriate column...but you need the AND in there.
