SUMIF query

Hello all, I'm having a problem getting a formula for my following problem:

I am after the sum of those under individual columns C, D and E for all "Closed" "red", ie, C should = 4, D = 6 and E = 6

Sure its simple but haven't done this for yonks.

Sort by date Sort by votes
You can use SUMIFS (with an "S" at the end) if you are using Excel 2007 or later, i.e. in C5 copied to E5

=SUMIFS(C1:C4,$A1:$A4,"Closed",$B1:$B4,"Red")

or in earlier versions try SUMPRODUCT

=SUMPRODUCT(C1:C4,($A1:$A4="Closed")*($B1:$B4="Red"))
