Summing by month

Hey all,
I have an interesting question this morning. My boss wants all of us to reorganize our timecards by month. This is a problem, since our timecards are filled by by weekly time period (each bi weekly period gets it's own Excel tab). I could go back in and manually reorganize my timecards by month, but I was wondering if there is a simpler way to do this.

Each time card has identical tables, the only difference is the number of hours assigned to a given category/task. originally, I was going to simply do a sum like: =SUM('12.25-1.7:1.9-1.22'!S10), but this was before I found out they want this done by month, not just a total for the whole year.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would attach an example, but I don't see an option to do that.

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
