I am trying to create a sumproduct formula that will count the number of filled positions during the month of July 2011 and return the value. I am having trouble with how the date should be formulated. Can you help?

Excel Facts

Shade all formula cells
To shade all formula cells: Home, Find & Select, Formulas to select all formulas. Then apply a light fill color.
something on these lines?:
=SUMPRODUCT((F39:F47="F")*(MONTH(G39:G47)=7)*(YEAR(G39:G47)=2011))
