I am trying to calculate the sumproduct of selected cells in a list.

Column C = "Salary"
Column G = "Rate"
Column E = "City"

I am trying to get the sumproduct of "Salary" and "Rate" for Cities equal to a given cell, say C1.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Welcome to the Board -- try

=SUMPRODUCT(--($E$1:$E$500=C1),($C$1:$C$500),($G$1:$G$500))
