Hello all.

I have a seventeen digit field in a table that I want to trim down to fourteen. The date is led by three spaces. When I change the field size to fourteen it goes from right to left. How can I do it the other way..from left to right, so I can trim data on the front of the number?

Thanks for your help.

Excel Facts

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
I wouldn't change the field size to trim data, try using an UPDATE query with the string functions Mid, Left, Right etc.
