I need to create a way in excel to project the date when a milestone needs to be completed.
For example:
Start date = 1 June
End Date = 1 July
Let us say there are 5 milestones that need to be completed within this date range.
Start date = 1 June
Milestone 1
Milestone 2
Milestone 3
Milestone 4
Milestone 5
End Date = 1 July
Each milestone needs a date, but because date ranges can vary, I need to put a value to each milestone in days or using percentage.
In this example, there are 30 days between start and end dates
Start date = 1 June = 0% / Day 1
Milestone 1 = 10%
Milestone 2 = 20%
Milestone 3 = 40%
Milestone 4 = 60%
Milestone 5 = 80%
End Date = 1 July = 100% / Day 30
I know that milestone 5 needs to be completed by 80% of the way, which in this example is 24 days (80% of 30 days), this means milestone 5 should show 24 June as a result because it is 24 days after the start date.
Any suggestions on how I can create an excel that would give me a result like this?
