Good Day

I have two forms, one was copied from the other when I made it, so it has the same control source and other properties.

The forms have some of the same controls on them but when I go to form view, one of the forms won't display any values in the text boxes. The text-boxes all have control sources. I tried copying and pasting text boxes from the duplicate form to the problem form, but these text boxes have the same issue, no text is displayed.

After some experimenting, I notice if I am in layout view, the text in the text box appears on the problem form. I then realized my text boxes are in the header of the problem form, when I move them to the body, they work again, but I can't make them display properly in the header.

Does anyone know why?

Thank you

Ok, so I decided to copy and past my text boxes from my problem form to my duplicate, and at first everything was fine. But now it as infected my duplicate form!

Found it, I turned off the "Record Selectors" property. When I turned it back on, it worked. The only thing is, I don't want a record selector vertical bar to appear, does anyone know a way around this?

Ah , got it for real I think. The form needs controls in order to function, meaning, I can't just have controls in the header, I have to have something in the body for the header to know what record it is referencing. I had subforms, but apparently they are not enough.
