I having some issues with validating a text box (obviously if that is possible). What I am looking to do is to enter in a employment number in a text box then the the number entered is then validated against a range i have set up on a seperate sheet.

Is this possible if so how do i go about setting it up as ive tried a few things to little sucess!

Thanks

Excel Facts

Format cells as time
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+2 to format cells as time. (Shift 2 is the @ sign).
The first thing to remember is that TextBoxes return values of data type STRING.
Therefore, you need to use one of the conversion functions to turm the value into a number.

i.e., For an integer
myInt = CInt(TextBox1.value)

Then you can run validation checks against the number stored in the variable.
