I would like to knowthe formula to make three cells stay blank if there is an X in a cell after them in a row and for that cell with the X to go blank if any of the three cells before it contain an X? for example if A4 contains an X then A1, A2, and A3 are blank, however if there is an X in any one of A1, A2, or A3 then A4 is blank.

Hi W, welcome to the board.

You're going to struggle with this, because this will create a circular reference.
Basically this boils down to something like this -
If A1=1, make A2=2
If A2=1, make A1=2.
How do you decide which has priority ?
