hi All,

please help me build the text function to CUT/TRUNCATION characters.

In column we have:
A1: [ABC] NAME (id101010)
A2: [ABC] NAME2 (id101211)
A3: [EFG] NAME44 (id123456)
A4: [GHY] SHORTNAME (id877890)

Now I need to function returns a result like:
A1: [ABC] NAME
A2: [ABC] NAME3
A3: [EFG] NAME44
A4: [GHY] SHORTNAME

(id101010) or (id101211) always has a the same LEN (its 8).

I tried to in column C put f:=RIGHT(A1,8) and i the next columns do like: =(A1-C1) but it dosen't work.

Please help me....

P.
