I get a data file each month that has four date columns. These date columns are formatted as text fields and are shown as 20110201 for Feb 1, 2011. I want to convert the string to display as 02/01/2011. I am currently import the file into Access and exporting back out to Excel. Is there an easier way to make the conversion in Excel only?

Andrew,

Text to Columns worked great. I created a macro to convert all four columns.

Thank you.
