Hi all. If in cell A1 is the number 5, and in cell B1 is this -

="The answer is "&A1&", to the question."

how do I display the A1 value as 5.0, rather than just as 5? If in A1 it had 5.2 in A1 it would display it to one decimal point, but if there's just 5 in there it only displays it without the .0 in there.

Any ideas?

Excel Facts

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
Try this:

="The answer is "&TEXT(A1,"0.0")&", to the question."
