Hi,
I am trying to parse a column that has first name, last name and Company all in one column.

I was able to parse the fname and last name.

How can I parse the Company into it's own field.

Hint- The company name does not have a ",". How can I tell Excel to parse a field that does not contain a ",".
Thank you

Hi,

The field is CName and it contains this type of data

Mouse, Mickey
Duck, Donald
Disney World
Mouse, Minnie
Epcott Center
Duck, Daffey
WB Studios

I was able to Parse the name into CFName and CLNAME

but how do I parse the Company names that do not contain (,) into CCompany

Thanks

Welcome to the Board!

You can use Data-->Text to Columns-->Delimited-->Select Space and Comma.

Hope that helps,

Yes, I did try and was able to separate the names but when I do space for the Company, it splits it up into different columns

What I get with Text to Column

CName
Walt Disney

CCompany
Walt

Field J
Disney

Result that I want
CNAME
Walt Disney

CCOMPANY
Walt Disney
