Text to number coversion issue

I need help in resolving an issue Iam haivng when trying to export data from reporting tool.

Example
When Iam trying to export a column from reporting tool with number 396543287E7 to Excel it is turning to 3965432870000000.

Now when I try to use vloopup in excel nothing matches as all the E7 at the end of the number are being converted to all zeroes


Is there a turnaround?


I tried to convert the number to text but came to know that vlookup cannot be used with text feilds

Try formatting the cells in Excel to Text before importing the data.

Does V look up function work if number is saved as text?

You can use a formula like

=VLOOKUP(A1+0,B1:D100,3,FALSE)
