Excel Facts

VLOOKUP to Left?
Use =VLOOKUP(A2,CHOOSE({1,2},$Z$1:$Z$99,$Y$1:$Y$99),2,False) to lookup Y values to left of Z values.
hahaha... i agree with you...

but i want to use forms to get data from the user or to show the data to the user... instead of excel spreadsheets... i cant show a spreadsheet on a form... can I ??

I did come across something that looks very much like what you want, but couldn't for the life of me figure out how to get it to work. Perhaps someone here may have some clues.

Its called DataGrid.

If you go into your VBA editor window where you design your UserForm and then do a right click on the grey area of the Command Toolbox (the wee window with the TextBox, ComboBox icons etc) you can select ADDITIONAL CONTROLS.

Under the list of possible controls is one called;

Microsoft DataGrid Control 6.0

(at least my version of XP has it listed).

When you click on its checkbox, it becomes available on the wee Toolbox.

When I then add one of them to the UserForm I get an editable table of columns and rows.

Can't yet figure out how to link this to cells on the sheet, but someone may have played around with this and know.

cheers

Mark
