The insert row disappeared from my list

I built a few excel lists (Data -> List-> Create List) in a sheet. The problem is tha the insert row disappeared in some of the lists and are still there in the rest... I have tried deleting and then redefining the list, resizing the list, turning it into a range then back into a list but to no avail... The insert row remains missing. Any suggestions on getting it working again?
