This just doesn't seem to do anything.

I open a worksheet I would like to format, or select part of a worksheet if I would just like to add a Theme to that part of the worksheet

Then Page Layout / Themes.

The palette of icons opens.

But if I hover over a particular icon, which is supposed to create a live preview of the theme, there is no change to the worksheet whatsover.

Likewise if I try Fonts / Colors or Effects there is no visible change to the appearance of the worksheet.

However, if I choose, say, the "Metro" theme and click on it, Save , Close , Re-open, and hover the cursor over Themes, it shows that I have successfully formatted the spreadsheet as "Metro", just that the spreadsheet is unchanged.....?

Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong gratefully received.

Regards,

Richard Oldcorn
