I’m comparing the results of a football team in a 24 team league against the Top 12 in a table or the Bottom 12 in a table…
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
So, in my formula below =IF(Played!$X$9="T" establishes which half at the table to look at but then there’s a lot of duplication in the True and False part of my formula… How can I tidy my formula up please?

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
