Time calculation problem

I have two columns of data in columns E and G which are currently text that I need to convert into hours then SUMIF column C matches the criterion. I used =TEXT(G5-E5,"hh:mm") and tried to do the SUMIF and got only zero's.

Any ideas why this is?

It appears the numbers in column I which contain the text formula cannot be sumed for some reason. Is this because they are either text or in a time format?
