I have a spreadsheet where I want to collect info regarding the date & time something started and the date & time it ended.

So for example in cell A1 they put the start date, B1 the time it started, C1 the date it ended if applicable and D1 the time it ended.

If A1 = say 2nd June 2022 B1 23:00 C1 3rd June & D1 10:00

What is the easiest way to get the difference from start to finish in hours that takes account of full days between

Solution
Thanks for that, I didn't realise I could and the date and time together for each then subtract one form the other.

I am thinking that I will change cell format so date & time to reduce the number of cells the user needs to complete.
