Hello

Given time1 and time2 date variables which contain time values, how can i calculate date2-date1 and get the value in hours within a macro only.

Thanks

Waterfall charts in Excel?
Office 365 customers have access to Waterfall charts since late 2016. They were added to Excel 2019.
Hello plettieri

I'm afraid that i need to do it in a macro only (now i use formulas in the worksheet)
so i can use the function in other workbooks.

i tried the following line in vb:
f=formatdatetime(date2-date1,vbshorttime)
and then i got the difference in time format (00:30) but how can i convert the time value to integer (0.5)?

Thanks
Rafael

By converting the answer to a general number will allow for a true integer answer

Selection.NumberFormat = "General"

hope this helps
