How do you add and subtract time entries.
ex: Employee starts at 10:00 am and works until 6:15 pm. Total hours for that day?

Excel Facts

Add Bullets to Range
Select range. Press Ctrl+1. On Number tab, choose Custom. Type Alt+7 then space then @ sign (using 7 on numeric keypad)

I just enter times directly.

A1cell- 10:00 am
A2cell- 11:00 am
A3cell- =a2-a1
in cell a3 you may get a decimal # if you do go to cell format and change the cell format
Also make sure you add space between the last # and the AM or PM, or it will not work
