Hi
Can someone tell me where I have gone wrong with this code , I want to delete all rows with values "Total" in column 1

sub delval

Dim zx, t As Integer

Worksheets("Code4conso").Activate
t = ActiveSheet.Cells.SpecialCells(xlCellTypeLastCell).Row
MsgBox t
For zx = 1 To t
If Range("A" & t).Value = "Total" Then
Range("A" & t).Select
ActiveCell.EntireRow.Delete
End If

Next zx

End Sub

Excel Facts

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
Why don't you try it this way

Sub delval()
Dim zx, t As Integer
Worksheets("Code4conso").Activate
t = ActiveSheet.Cells.SpecialCells(xlCellTypeLastCell).Row
MsgBox t
For zx = t To 1 Step -1
If Range("A" & zx).Value = "Total" Then
Range("A" & zx).EntireRow.Delete
End If
Next zx
End Sub
