Does anyone have any idea how to add a trendline to an area chart? I have tried selecting the trendline option by selecting the plotted data and right clicking but the 'trendline' option does not seem to be available.

Any ideas?

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
Hi,

Not tried or tested, but possibly you can overlay another chart which allows you add the trendline. Format the data points as invisible, but keep the trendlines visible.

There may be a better way, but give this a try.
