i drew an area chart.

it is clear to me, that with making a right-click on a area and choosing "format data series", i can change color (and so on).

option "filling effects..." shows up some transparency settings. whatever option i choose, i can't get the two transparency shifters "active".

anyone knows how to make areas (more or less) transparent?

Excel Facts

Save Often
If you start asking yourself if now is a good time to save your Excel workbook, the answer is Yes
If you go to format data series like you did and click fill and then change to solid fill from automatic the transpaency bar should work
