Trend (?) tutorial

Can someone point me to a good tutorial?

I have very simple data - On certain dates, I measure how much hard drive space I am taking up. I would like to project when, based upon date and the rate I will be out of space. I think that is Trend, but could it be "Linear"??

Your data appear to be on a linear trend. So, you can use TREND. It might be useful to add a column for Storage Remaining which is = StorageAllocated - StorageUsed. Then trend this to estimate when you will be out of drive space. Here's an example using your data (note that TREND is an array formula and must be entered using control+shift+enter):
