I have a scatter chart created from columns of data. Each row has a formula whose result is either a value or a blank. When I plot the data, the data points appear correctly but when I fit a trendline it skews toward the (0,0). It seems that although the scatter chart does not recognize and plot the empty cells as (0,0) the trendline does.
The Excel Help seemed to indicate one could have each cell formula display either NA or #N/A in the cells without data and thereby cause the the trendline formula to skip those cells. This did not work for me. Is there a way to leave the data in a column with discontinuous data and get the trendline to ignore the blanks?
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
