To whom it may concern,
I have Excel 2007 and I would like to trim text from an order number. For example ORD1-5H34ZX, I would like to trim the ORD for the 1-5H34ZX. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

Thank you in advance

Are there always three character's at the front?

If so,

=Left(A1,3)

and then

=SUBSTITUTE(A1,B1,"")

or if there are always three character's at the front then text to columns would work also

There's a variety of ways, but here's one for starters:

=RIGHT(A1,LEN(A1)-3)
