TRIMING CELLS

I know that the TRIM function can remove unwanted spaces with the text of a cell but it there anyway of doing this with say commas?

This seems to work also:

=SUBSTITUTE(SUBSTITUTE(A1,",","")," ","")

=SUBSTITUTE(SUBSTITUTE(A1,",","")," ","")

No, it will take away all commas and spaces.
