With the assistance of Jon von der Heyden and his marvellous script for building a pivot cache from more than one worksheet, I have managed to refresh the cache for a pivot table with 400,000 row of data.

The only problem now is that the pivot table itself has not updated, but the refresh data button is now available in the PT menu.
When I click it, it just throws an error message ! Problems obtaining data
Does anyone have any bright ideas. I dont really want to remove the PT and rebuild programatically as there is a worksheet event linked to the PT update.
