I have a countif formula that works with a single selection, I want it to select on string out of a cell containing text.
In the case I want to count CNF. I've tried * and ~ but can't get it to work.....

Code:
=COUNTIFS(E3:E352,"<="&B1,E3:E352,">="&B2,E3:E352,"CNF")

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
Try this.
=COUNTIF(A1,"*CNF*")

This one for counting only with data containing "CNF". You can make as u need.
