In cell C1 I would like a formula that will r eturn "True" if the value in cell A1 matches a value in column B1:B56000 otherwise "False".

### Excel Facts

VLOOKUP to Left?
Use =VLOOKUP(A2,CHOOSE({1,2},\$Z\$1:\$Z\$99,\$Y\$1:\$Y\$99),2,False) to lookup Y values to left of Z values.
=if(countif(b:b,a1)>=1,"true","false")

=iferror(vlookup(\$A1;\$B\$1:\$B\$56000;1;False)=\$A1;false)

Works like a charm. Had another suggestion however, your's is a tad more elegant. Thanks much.
