trunc function

Hi,

Can some body tell me how to use "trunc" worksheet function in vba or is there any function available in vba equivalent to "trunc".

Hi,

TRUNC cuts the decimal places of a number down the the requested number as such;

=TRUNC(156441.154454,3)

Returns;

156441.154

What are you trying to achieve?

Hi Mike,
I was using "trunc" function to split a given number in to thousands, hundreds, rupees and paise using trunc function.

For Example to split 263.25

hundreds=TRUNC(TRUNC(263.25,0)/100,0)
rupees=TRUNC(263.25,0)-TRUNC(TRUNC(263.25,0)/100,0)*100
paise=(263.25-TRUNC(263.25,0))*100

Now to write a code in vba I require this TRUNC function.

You can use the Int function if you don't want any decimals.
