Trying to add new buttons to a ribbon in Excel 2010

Hi I'm trying to add 10 buttons to a ribbon in excel2010 (xp sp3) to enable me to enter 0-9 into cells without using the keypad, just moved to 2010. I used to be able to do it in an earlier version.
