-I am trying to put in place a frmula that will assign a code number to a range of numbers. EX. If a number in AF3# is 97-100, I want Cell AG3 to display 1, If the number is 93-96 I want it to display 2, etc Any easy way to do that?

Thanx

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
Why not set up a master list of the numbers and the corresponding "code numbers" and write a Vlookup formula.

Can two different "code numbers" be assigned to the same number i.e 97-100 = 1 and 97-100 = 2?
