Trying to create dropbox2 that list items related to a cell<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
Example Baseball<o></o>
A B C D <o></o>
1 postion player dropbox1<o></o>
2 pitcher bill listfillrange=a2:a7<o></o>
3 pitcher sam linked cell is a8<o></o>
4 catcher bob<o></o>
5 catcher tom dropbox2<o></o>
6 first base mike populate a drop box that shows only players based on cell a8<o></o>
7 first base sam If a8=pitcher then drop only bill or sam<o></o>

Sorry, I said dropbox and should have said combobox with activex controls
any ideas?

I'm not good with activex controls (combo Boxes), but any reason the data validation won't work?

I like the feature of starting to type in the box and it fills the word.
My main reason is I have a database of manufactured parts (not cars)
example would start typing che-- and chevy appears, then the next box start typing mali-- and malibu-s appear, next box type therm-- and thermostats are listed and so on

As I stated before, not all that proficient with combo boxes
, but is this something you could work with?

If you get in a jam maybe you could upload your workbook to a site like Box.net.

Maybe there could be other methods, but this is all I have.
