Turning off protection for checkbox

How do I allow clicking on a checkbox (which toggles the value True or False) when sheet protection is turned on?
Below is a code fragment to create checkboxes. With Cells(I, 4)
With ActiveSheet.CheckBoxes.Add(316, .Top - 0.75, 0.2, 0.2)
.Characters.Text = ""
.Value = xlOff
.LinkedCell = Cells(I, 1).Offset(3, 15).Address
.Caption = ""

Just make sure that you set the Locked property of the Linked range to False. That's it.
