I have two spreadsheets with similar information. I want to ask the following type of statement in Excel 2007 and I don' know how to format it:

If A2 is equal to H2 AND B2 is equal to G2 THEN put the number from I2 in the cell where the formula is written.

Both conditions have to match before it plugs the sales dollars in the space. If both the conditions aren't met as an exact matchI want the cell left blank.

HELP!!

Excel Facts

When they said...
When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".
To explain a bit better, I have an account number and a product number of both spreadsheets. On spreadsheet number 2 some of the products have a different monthly use now than what the first spreadsheet shows and I need to update the first master spreadsheet. So, I want to basically find the account number and exact product number and plug in the new use figure. The first spreadsheet has 27000 entries and the "second" spreadsheet the reps have returned may only have five or ten. So, I need to ask the second sheet to find itself on the first one and if it finds the account and exact product number pairing then put in the audited use. If it doesn't find it, leave it blank.

Using your example, try =IF(AND(A2=H2,B2=G2),I2,""). The AND operand only return true if both conditions are satisfied.
