Dear friends.I'm using onboard lan card.now i want to add another network card to my pc.i want to know with onboard lan other network card will work or not.because my friend told me it will not work,i want to use two networks in my pc.pls help me..

It is certainly possible to use two network cards in one PC but the configuration needs to be done carefully. For example you may need to set up specific entries in the routing table and only one NIC can have a default gateway set up on it.
As an aside, this would probably be better answered in a windows forum rather than an Excel one. ;)

What's the other card for?
one network for internet & other for my local area...

Note:
Typically, by the way, you just get a router to do this kind of thing - here in the US you can get one for as little as $40.00 - not much more than the price of a network card really.
