I have a strange query
i have 2 separate spreadsheet with the same set up as far as i can remember

on both there is a sheet containing around 3 thousand rows of data which is protected

row one is set up so that the drop down filters arrows are always present
row 1 is set quite high/wide to give plenty of space so that the macro button contained on row 1 does not obscure the title.

the problem i have is that when i click on macro button on row 1
it just ignores the button and provides me with the drop down options from the filter arrow

on the other spreadsheet it works fine (ie i can click on the macro button and run the macro)
in protected mode.

thanks
