This has got to be one of the stupidest problems I've run into... Nevertheless, here it is...

I am unable to group rows and columns on a particular sheet in my workbook. All of the other sheets are allowing me to group just fine.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Using Function Arguments with nested formulas
If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.
Ah ha!! I figured it out...

If this happens to you go to "Tools > Options > (Tab) View > (Check) Outline Symbols"

Even though the thread is old, thank you! It was making me crazy why I wouldn't see my outlines...

Just as an update, if you have Excel 2007 this is under Excel Options > Advanced > Display options for this worksheet > check the box for Show outline symbols if an outline is applied.
