I am working in Excel 2007. I have linked a cell from one workbook to a cell in a different workbook. If I enter in the cell ='[My Report.xlsm]Tables'!$E$3 The link works but if I change it to the UNC Path it will not update. However if I go to edit links and click update ilike t say's OK

UNC Path '\\ABCD1236\Doc\My Files\[My Report.xlsm]Tables'!$E$2

any suggestions appreciated

Best way to learn Power Query?
Read M is for (Data) Monkey book by Ken Puls and Miguel Escobar. It is the complete guide to Power Query.
I just realized that if I save the file that has the data I am linking too and then double click in the linked cell, it does update. It will not update automatically. (auto calulations are on)
